This town is an underrated travel gem, known as Phatthalung, as people like me origin from North Malaysia also don’t hear before. This spot doesn’t have any extra entertainment, however, it provides a view of natural greenery farm and lake as well as mountain, gives tourists a leisurely trip. There’s no airport in Phatthalung, so need depart from Hatyai which around 2 hours, by self or by the charter trip.

First Day

We complete our Phatthalung trip by charter trip, depart from Alor Setar around 4 am, reached Phatthalung around 10 am. Our first destination is Khaochaison Hot Spring, here open to public free, and of course, we soak our legs into the hot spring for a while, to soothe our aching muscle along the journey.

We explore two caves in the vicinity, Tham Nam Yen Khaochaison and Harmony Cave. We are riding rowboat on a river and go through the cave, sometimes need to lay down our bodies during the trip, in case of pass-through cave top that too low. This definitely an epic adventure in the cave. We explore Harmony Cave by walking. Everyone has to wear headlights and walk through a dark tunnel carefully. There are plenty of crystal structures adorned wall of the cave, which can be observed closely, glittered brightly in the light.

We head down to Bamboo Market Forest, which only opened during weekend. This forest gathered vendors selling a variety of golds, includes food and hand-made crafts. We check in Longkang Chomdaw Phattalung Hotel on the night, with fairy-tale architectural design, become an ambient photoshoot background.
